THE LETTER
These words I write, are just for you. I know the pain your going through
I love you dear with all my hart, and kiss the kids for me.
And so I write my final words, what can I say that doesn’t hurt.
I did my best to stay alive. Now I’ll be watching over you.
-------------------------
So lift me up, I know I can make it.
I will be strong, if it carry’s me home.
Don’t let me die, in a field of empty lives.
I still love you, and you know that it’s the truth.
-------------------------
You reading this, means I am gone. No more words and no more songs.
I’ll never get to see you face, on a summer evening.
I know its hard to take this in, but I’m relieved my soul and sin.
Can now be still and laid to rest, I hated all the killing
-------------------------
So lift me up, I know I’m the sinner.
But I have been wronged, so carry me home.
Don’t let me die, in a land of empty lies.
I still love you, and you know that it’s the truth.
-------------------------
Now’s the time to carry on, I’ll see the kids grow big and strong.
Tell them now and then of me, I’ll kiss them when their sleeping.
And so to you, what can I say. I miss you still and will always.
I want you here to hold me tight, as I go to the light.
-------------------------
Then lift me up, so I can make it.
I will be strong, if you carry me home.
Don’t let me die. when your not by my side.
I still love you and you know that it’s the truth.
