Stories of you

Every thing stops for a cigarette brake,
Another name is painted on a gate.
The paint brush jumps with a fatal mistake,
as the still air is suddenly awake.

The bus driver plough’s into west street bridge,
and converts two decks down into one.
The conductor fly’s out the back of the bus,
As he thinks; “what the hell has gone wrong”.

But its alright, no one seems to get hurt any time

It’s cold in the morning, as you start to move,
Head down, and peddling too fast.
The next thing you know you’re lying in the road,
And the milk bottles shatter all their glass.

The milkman he can’t see the funny side,
As he chases you round his float.
The front wheel has buckled and will not roll,
His hands are now going for your throat.

Your younger days, now they seem so very far away.

Stories of your life,
Make me feel that it’s all right.
Cause I’m just like you,
All the dumb and crazy things we do.

Steyning seems a really tranquil place,
Till you turn up and blow out all the lights.
Your ladder is not meant to rest on a wire,
And the villagers seem quite irate.

You buy a big house with no windows or doors
Got a flame thrower is buried in the lawn.
We go to the public toilets at night,
To have a wash before it gets too dark.

But its ok, no one will remember any way
